Product
The Hill Glider® is
designed to optimize: Quality, Safety, Style and Price. Our process is
intended to minimize the order-to-install
interval. We believe these are the
most important factors to be considered in the selection of a tram. The Hill
Glider®
"raises the bar" with its unique, contemporary
styling and standard safety and reliability upgrades such as dual
cabling,
3hp motor (5hp optional), and surge protection on all systems.
Details are outlined below.
Power Supply
We supply an AC drive with a 3hp/5hp traction drive system that gives our Hill
Glider®
soft starts and stops. It is designed for a hill up to 400 ft in length. Travel
speed of the Hill Glider® is 70 ft per minute. Our "plug-and-play" control panel is UL listed and compliant
with ASME codes A17.1-2000 and A17.5-1996. It is
encased in a UL listed waterproof enclosure with surge
protection. Our Hill Glider® comes equipped with Nema 4X rated
hard-wired, push button controls for each landing. Also
available are onboard wireless controls.

Carriage
The
Hill Glider®
has a load capacity of
1000lb/1200lb. It’s dimensions are 42”
wide by 60” in length and 42” in height. The framework
is constructed of steel tubing and the sides and flooring
are made of composite non-skid Eon material, which is a
lightweight synthetic decking material and comes in
various colors. Our Hill Glider® is powder coated with super
durable TGIC polyester and is available in multiple
color options. The Hill Glider® also comes with a choice of a
right or left hand side sliding gates. Some additional
options include a canopy, Lexan wrap, packing shelf, and seat
cushions with custom colors available.
Custom-designed Hill Gliders® are also
available at a reasonable cost.

Cable
The standard Hill Glider® is a double-cabled
system. We use a 5/16” galvanized and/or stainless
aircraft cable which has a
9,800lb breaking strength.

Safety Systems
Each
Hill Glider® system has a standard
brake kit on the motor which locks when low or no
voltage is occurring. The Hill Glider®
is also equipped
with an “over-speed” governor that releases a braking
arm in the event excessive speed is registered and a
second-tier gear box reducer mechanism that shuts down
the system immediately when unwarranted speeds
occur. Finally, steel bumpers are installed at the
bottom and top of the track in the highly unlikely event
all other safety devices fail. You will feel safe and
comfortable when you ride the Hill Glider®.

Installation
All installations are custom-engineered to your property’s individual
topographic requirements. To ensure long-term system integrity we use stainless
steel hardware for all track, car and drive components.

Warranty
With the exception of damage done
by Acts of God or by abuse by Buyer and/or his/her
agents, representatives, contractors or guests, all
equipment and workmanship provided under this contract
is warranted as follows:

Structure (including track, track supports, and
carriage) - 12 years

Drive system, motor and braking systems - 3 years
-
Electrical componentry -18 months
Seller will repair or replace inoperative equipment
at its discretion. Travel expense between Seller’s
nearest service unit and Buyers locations required to
effect repairs will not be covered under warranty after
the first full year of operation.
Detailed warranty specifications are available upon
request.
A biennial preventative maintenance contract is
recommended to insure continuity of operation.
